FAQs

Answers to the questions we most frequently get asked.

Can you clean natural fibre carpet?

Yes. We have specialist equipment that can handle the low moisture and cooler temperatures needed for cleaning natural fibre. Always check with your pro carpet cleaner that they have to before starting a natural carpet fibre clean.

Do you clean hard floors?

Yes. We use the same equipment and products that we do for carpets although certain specialist flooring requires specialist equipment, that we have in our kit.

Do you clean mattresses?

Yes. Rather than replacing a mattress just because it appears dirty or stained, you can save a lot of money by simply having it cleaned. It’s easy for us to clean and sanitise mattresses and all our customers are delighted with the results they get.

Do you clean curtains?

Unfortunately no. Curtains are not our expertise and if you’re thinking of taking your curtains to the dry cleaners, do read the label first and ask your dry cleaner about shrinkage. Some dry cleaners may say to allow 3% shrinkage when using their services.

I have spilt paint in my carpet. Can you get it out?

Yes. Whether it’s water based or oil based, we have solutions for both.

My toilet has flooded – can you extract the water?

Yes. As long as the water is clean. Also if this happens it’s also a good idea to lift the carpet and have the underlay replaced thus allowing the sub floor to dry out, especially if it is wooden. Hopefully this will never happen to you but call us if it does.

Is there anything you don’t clean?

We tend to stick to what we know best like domestic or commercial sofas, carpets and hard floors. So, not curtains or soft furnishings.

Is there anything you can’t clean?

We might struggle with carpeted walls, but we’ll give it a go. Otherwise, we can’t clean flood or sewage stained carpets after a flood. Our best advice is to remove and replace both the carpet and the underlay after giving the surface underneath a really good clean and sanitise. We don’t normally clean cars, caravans or mobile home carpets either, but if you have a requirement of this type, we’d be happy to talk it through. The main problem would be electrics potentially tripping out, especially in caravans and mobile homes.

Are there any stains you can’t get out?

If a professional carpet cleaner tells you that they can remove any stain, be very cautious. We don’t believe anyone can guarantee the complete removal of a stain, but a reputable carpet cleaner will certainly guarantee to do their best to remove it. One of the reasons for this is that if the satin can’t be identified, a lot of guess work is involved in treating it. This will then affect the time needed to treat it, and therefore the cost to you. Also depending on what someone may have tried to clean the spillage with previously, e.g. supermarket shelf products, there could have already been irreversible damage made to the carpet fibres.

What equipment do you use?

We use a unique low moisture, exothermic system that allows carpets to dry in 30 minutes, or less. By the time we leave, your carpets are not only deep cleaned but safe to walk on.

What products do you use?

We use specific professional solutions that are not only great, but also environmentally friendly.

Are the products you use harmful to pets?

No. None of the products we use are harmful to pets as we only use products that are safe for the environment.

Do I have to book my carpet cleaning in advance?

Yes. Our appointment diary gets quickly booked, so booking in advance is recommended. We will however always try and accommodate you and at a time that’s convenient for you. We also ask that we visit the property prior to cleaning to assess whether it is carpet cleaning or stain removal that is needed. This means we can price the job properly as every job is different.

How far will you travel to clean my carpets?

We’d be happy to discuss any commercial cleaning opportunity, but for domestic cleans we cover most of Wiltshire plus Bristol, Bath and Gloucester. Travel expenses may be incurred for areas outside those listed. However, we know lots of domestic and commercial carpet cleaners throughout the UK, so would be happy to recommend someone if your location is not listed here.

What if I want to cancel my carpet clean?

We know circumstances change all the time, so just let us know so we can rearrange a time that is suitable for both of us.

What if I am unhappy with my carpet clean?

If this were to happen we would come back and rectify the problem. We pride our business on happy customers as happy customers push our business forward.

Who will come and clean my carpet if you can’t do it?

The reason that we like to view the areas of concern at your property first is to make sure we can do the job. Once that’s been confirmed, and we’ve agreed the price, then you’re booked in. If we feel we are not the right people for the job, we will always recommend someone that can.

How many people will come to my property to clean my carpets?

If it is a residential property, then just one professional technician. If it’s commercial property, depending on size, there may be two professional technicians.

Do I have to clear the room when you come to clean the carpets at my property?

Not always, but this is a big part of why we view the property first. If you have big cabinets that are not going to be moved, or have never been moved, then leave them there. If you have sofas, tables etc then we can ascertain where and who will be moving them. This is all part of our customer service to make sure we understand each other before even agreeing a price.

Do you need access to water at my property when you come?

Yes. We will need access to water, preferably from the kitchen tap.

Do I need to provide parking for when you come?

Yes. This is another reason that we visit your property. We will need close access to the property in order to transport our work equipment in and out, and most definitely somewhere to park whilst we are undertaking the work at the property.

Do you wear overshoes when you clean my carpets?

Yes. And we always have spares to hand.

Do you clean carpets at night time?

We can, although this is usually reserved for commercial property cleans rather than a residential property. Our unique low moisture process doesn’t have any noise that would upset anyone while being used during the day. If there is another reason you would prefer your clean done at night, please just chat it through with us first.

Do you clean stair carpets?

Yes. We’re always cleaning stair carpets. In fact we don’t believe we’ve cleaned a single house without cleaning the stairs as well. They go hand in hand with the other areas we clean.

Is there a size room that would be too small for you to come out?

No job is too small, but we do have a minimum charge of £100 for any job. We advise customers to get more than one room cleaned, or add in the stairs to get best value. In most cases, if we’re already at the property to clean a small room, then it makes sense to do others too.

Do you clean hotel carpets?

Yes. We’ve cleaned hotel carpets and golf clubs. We can do B&Bs, pubs, restaurants, club houses, village halls and just about any venue or commercial space with a carpet. We are just happy to offer our great service to everyone. Can you clean natural fibre carpets?
